Eric & Polly Rapp: Music
Briefly It Enters, and Briefly Speaks
(© 2003 Eric Rapp. All rights reserved.)
Inspired by the poem of the same title by Jane Kenyon.
I am the blossom pressed in a book
found after two hundred years.
I'm the patient gardener of a dry, weedy garden,
growing these colors with tears.
I am the love; I am the maker,
the keeper of all you hold dear.
Here I am. I am with you
before you think
to call my name.
